The ND Primary Care Office, in partnership with the UND Center for Rural Health, host or attend a number of recruitment events each year.  While COVID-19 has delayed or postponed some of these events since 2020, our team continues to monitor health risks and adjust to virtual options when needed.

In a normal year, these are the events to look forward to:

Primary Care Week:  Typically held in late October, Primary Care Week features a “Meet and Greet” event to allow North Dakota facilities to connect with health profession students at UND.   Booth cost is $100.  Contact: Stacy Kusler at stacy.kusler@und.edu

Rural Health Interest Group (RHIG) speaking options: RHIG is a University of North Dakota student interest group focused on rural health topics.  Lunch presentations are held 3 or 4 times per year, and feature a topic presented in a rural lens.  We are always looking for speakers to present important rural information to our students.  If you are interested, please reach out to stacy.kusler@und.edu

UND College and University program outreach and job fairs:
The ND Primary Care Office, in partnership with the UND Center for Rural Health, connect with various health profession programs throughout the state to present loan repayment opportunities, and rural health job options to future health professionals.  During these presentations and college/university job fairs, 3RNet.org is often referenced when talking about job options.  Please be sure that your job vacancies are posted on 3RNet.org so your vacancy can be featured.  If you are unaware of what 3RNet.org is, please see the 3RNet link on the previous page.

Community Showcase Events:  Typically held in the spring, the Community Showcase events are held on each of the 4 UND Medical School campuses (Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, Minot).   These events allow North Dakota facilities to meet and connect with 3rd and 4th year medical students, as well as residents in those communities.  Booth price is $100.  These events have been postponed since COVID-19 started.  These will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
