EMR Recertification

EMRs licensed in ND are required to utilize the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP). EMRs recertifying prior to 2019 can utilize the 2016 NCCP content OR the 2012 NCCP content. EMRs recertifying in 2019 or after must utilize the 2016 NCCP content.

The EMR NCCP requires a total of 16 hours of continuing education to certify. The model contains three componenets, or 'buckets': a national component, a local component, and an individual component.

EMT Recertification

All EMTs primarily licensed in ND are required to utilize the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP). EMTs recertifying prior to 2019 can utilize the 2016 NCCP content OR the 2012 NCCP content. EMTs recertifying in 2019 or after must utilize the 2016 NCCP content.
